Webinar: Wildfire management in changing landscapes across the world
What challenges do we share? Which practices can we learn with each other?
Wildfires occur in many different landscapes, regions and countries. Portugal, Australia, Italy, Chile, Greece or the region of California in the USA, appear frequently in the news with images of destruction, but also of recovery. In face of (new) challenges brought by changes in climate, land-use or sociodemographic patterns, landscapes are evolving and people need to adapt.
This webinar brings together the experience of researchers and practitioners in wildfire management and risk assessment from different countries (Portugal, Italy, USA). Although geographically apart and with different backgrounds, they also encounter similar challenges and implement practices that can be useful in other settings.
Let’s foster the dialogue that makes collaboration grow.
This webinar is organized in the framework of the project Change4Fire-Modelling climatic and landcover changes for future fire hazard assessment.
