No dia 11 de dezembro, pelas 16h00, a Biblioteca do IGOT recebe Jarkko Saarinen, Professor de Geografia Humana (Estudos de Turismo) da Universidade de Oulu, para uma conversa sobre o seu livro Resilient Destinations and Tourism. Governance strategies in the transition towards sustainability in tourism (Routledge, 2020). A sessão contará com os comentários de Fiona Bakas e Pedro Guimarães, do CEG/IGOT-ULisboa. 

Bio
Jarkko Saarinen is a Professor of Human Geography (Tourism Studies), University of Oulu, Finland, and he also serves as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is the Director of the Frontiers of Arctic and Global Resilience (FRONT) Research Program at the University of Oulu. His research interests include sustainability and tourism development, tourism-community relations, tourism, resilience and climate change adaptation, political ecology and community-based natural resource management.
